  • 40 miles of trails for hiking, biking and equestrian usage
  • Purchased in 1995 as part of the Myakka Estuary Conservation and Recreation Lands (CARL) project.
  • Mixture of mesic flatwoods, longleaf pine and slash pine
  • Numerous marshes
  • 2.5 miles of Myakka River frontage

Rules and Regulations:
  • Hours: 8 AM - sunset
  • No motorized vehicles on trails
  • Dogs must be kept on hand-held, maximum 10-foot leash
  • No littering or dumping

Amenities:
  • Restrooms and picnic pavilion at South River Rd. main entrance parking lot
  • Access to riverfront camping, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking
  • No restrooms or drinking water on hiking trails
  • Interpretive signage

Insider Tips:
  • No restrooms on the trails
  • Wear sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat
  • Carry in and out - water, snacks, toilet paper, sanitizer
