- Plan to visit at least twice - the northeast trail, entered from 5472 Kenisco Rd., has no parking and is almost 1 mile from parking lot at south entrance on Osprey Rd.
- Great wildlife viewing
- Wear sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat
- No restrooms or drinking fountains, so plan accordingly
- Carry in and pack out water, snacks, toilet paper, sanitizer
